Job summary

A Whitstable-based engineering client is seeking an FPGA Engineer to own and drive FPGA firmware design from concept through to release. You will work with experienced electronics and software engineers on integrated solutions in a small, highly skilled team.

Requirements include FPGA development with VHDL, digital design principles, and experience with Xilinx tools. The role offers flexible working hours and strong long-term career prospects in a growing business.

Qualifications

• Experience designing FPGA firmware and verification.
• Proficiency with VHDL and Xilinx tools.
• Ability to produce thorough technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing FPGA solutions using VHDL.
• Developing firmware from concept through to verification.
• Producing clear technical documentation and test benches.
• Supporting product development from requirements through to final release.
• Working closely with electronics and software engineers on integrated solutions.
• Contributing to both new product development and enhancements to existing products.
• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical challenges.
