Job summary

IC Resources in Coventry is seeking an FPGA Engineer to join a specialist design consultancy delivering digital hardware solutions across the UK and Europe.

You will develop FPGA architectures, implement RTL, carry out verification and timing analysis, and support integration onto target hardware, collaborating with seasoned consultants and system architects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• Solid experience with VHDL or Verilog and RTL development.
• Experience with FPGA simulation, synthesis and timing analysis is essential.
• Experience across the complete FPGA design lifecycle is preferred.

FPGA Engineer - Coventry

We are supporting a specialist FPGA and ASIC design consultancy that delivers complex digital hardware solutions for leading technology companies across the UK and Europe. They are looking to add an FPGA Engineer to their engineering team, offering the opportunity to work across a diverse range of industries, technologies, and FPGA platforms.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys technical variety and wants exposure to the complete FPGA development lifecycle. Working alongside experienced consultants and system architects, you’ll contribute to projects from initial requirements and architecture through to implementation, verification, and customer delivery.

The role will involve developing FPGA architectures, implementing RTL, carrying out verification and timing analysis, and supporting integration onto target hardware platforms. You’ll gain experience with multiple FPGA vendors and industry-leading development processes while working on technically challenging projects for a broad customer base.

They are looking for an FPGA Engineer with the following background:

• FPGA development experience using VHDL or Verilog
• Strong understanding of digital design principles and RTL development
• Experience with FPGA simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis
• Understanding of the complete FPGA design lifecycle
• Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams

Experience with embedded C, Python, TCL, Ethernet, packet processing, or SoC architectures would be advantageous.
