Job summary

Defence is seeking experienced FPGA Engineers to contribute to advancing complex FPGA platforms across diverse projects. You will be involved in the full FPGA lifecycle, from requirements through validated designs, using latest tools from leading vendors.

Relocation opportunities are offered, with potential for on-site collaboration and flexible work arrangements. The role suits engineers with strong VHDL/SystemVerilog skills and test software development capabilities.

Qualifications

• Familiar with designing complex FPGA architectures using VHDL or SystemVerilog.

• Proficiency with FPGA toolchains and Mentor tools (QuestaSim/ModelSim).

Responsibilities

• Join FPGA design teams expanding across multiple projects.

The Opportunity

The FPGA Design Teams are expanding, creating exciting opportunities to work on a broad range of projects including:

• Advanced image and radio signal-processing systems
• Embedded processing systems
• Safety- and security-critical platforms

You’ll be involved in every stage of the FPGA lifecycle, from initial requirements to validated design, while working with the latest technologies from leading FPGA vendors.

What They are looking for

You ideally have a relevant degree (or equivalent experience) and skills in most of the following:

• Designing complex FPGA architectures using VHDL, Simulink, etc.
• Targeting Xilinx, Intel, and Microsemi devices
• Verifying FPGA designs with VHDL & SystemVerilog/UVM
• Experience with FPGA toolsets and Mentor tools (QuestaSim/ModelSim)
• Generating low-level C software for test and integration
• Confident documenting and configuring designs to a high standard
