Job summary

Octagon Group in Southampton is seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to own the full FPGA lifecycle, from design to verification. You will design, implement, and verify FPGA and SoC solutions, and develop VHDL for complex architectures on high-reliability platforms.

You will integrate and test solutions at system level, produce clear documentation, and collaborate with system, electronic, and FPGA engineers in a defence/aerospace context, based in Southampton, Hampshire.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• 5+ years’ experience as an FPGA Engineer.
• Experience with FPGA toolchains (Vivado, Quartus, ModelSim).
• Experience with SoC devices (e.g. Zynq UltraScale+).
• Knowledge of video/RF protocols (MIPI, SDI).
• Python or TCL scripting.
• High-reliability, defence, or aerospace experience.
• UK Security Clearance (SC or DV).
