Job description

Job Title: FP&A Analyst

As FP&A Analyst, you will support the Retail Finance Business Partner in preparing financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting, with a focus on strong financial controls and critical evaluation embedded in the processes.

You will play an active role in supporting a department during a transitional period at the start of a new regulatory cycle. This exciting opportunity allows you to support a high-profile operational business unit with several senior internal stakeholders.

This role may require some travel to Reading, as needed.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support budgeting and forecast cycles, including rolling forecasts and IBP (long-term business plan).
  2. Create high-quality reports, analysis, and commentary on performance to aid decision-making.
  3. Manage relationships to understand and communicate drivers of month-end performance and future outlooks to achieve targets.
  4. Understand P&L and balance sheet positions, providing insights on risks and opportunities.
  5. Contribute to key finance initiatives and support ad-hoc queries.
  6. Present and influence senior finance management with key financial analysis findings.
  7. Collaborate with wider finance teams to ensure clarity of performance drivers and forecast/budget requirements.

Location: Hybrid, Walnut Court

Hours: 36 hours per week

Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising at all levels and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in budget and cost control
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive and ambitious mindset
  • Experience with financial systems like SAP & HFM is preferred
Benefits:
  • Salary from £60,000 to £68,000 per annum
