Job description

As FP&A Analyst, you will support the Retail Finance Business Partner in preparing financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting, with strong financial controls and critical evaluation embedded in the processes.

You will play an active role in supporting a department during a transitional period at the start of a new regulatory cycle. This exciting opportunity allows you to support a high-profile operational business unit with multiple senior internal stakeholders.

This role may require occasional travel to Reading.

What you’ll be doing as an FP&A Analyst
  1. Support budgeting and forecast cycles, including rolling forecasts and IBP (long-term business planning).
  2. Create high-quality reports, analysis, and commentary to assist decision-making.
  3. Manage relationships to understand and communicate drivers of performance and support target achievement.
  4. Analyze P&L and balance sheet, providing insights on risks and opportunities.
  5. Contribute to finance initiatives and handle ad-hoc queries.
  6. Influence and present findings to senior finance management.
  7. Collaborate with finance teams to ensure clarity of performance drivers and forecast/budget requirements.

Location: Hybrid, Walnut Court

Hours: 36 hours/week

What you should bring to the role
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Strong communication skills to liaise at all levels and build relationships with stakeholders
  • Experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive and ambitious attitude
  • Experience with SAP & HFM is preferred
