We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Foundry Operative to join an innovative and specialist engineering company in Sheffield. Reporting to the Production Manager you will work in a supportive team to prepare moulds for metal casting and operate overhead cranes.

Ideal candidates will have foundry experience, a strong safety mindset, and be able to work Monday-Thursday with a 35.3 hour week. The role offers a permanent contract with overtime paid and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Foundry Operative or in a similar heavy manufacturing role.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes to move heavy moulds safely.
• Commitment to quality and adherence to health and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and assemble moulds for metal casting in line with production specifications.
• Operate overhead cranes to safely lift, move and position heavy moulds and materials.
• Accurately measure and prepare moulding materials to meet production requirements and ensure consistent casting quality.
• Prepare moulding sand and other materials to ensure moulds meet required quality standards.
• Inspect moulds for defects and ensure they are correctly assembled before casting.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area, following all health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.

£24,725 to £26,616 p/a DOE, Permanent, Sheffield, 4 day working week, 35.3hrs per week, Monday-Thursday, day shifts, overtime available, immediate start.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Foundry Operative to join an innovative and specialist engineering company based in the S9 area of Sheffield.

Reporting to the Production Manager and working within a supportive and friendly team, day to day duties for the successful Foundry Operative will include:

• Prepare and assemble moulds for metal casting in line with production specifications.
• Operate overhead cranes to safely lift, move and position heavy moulds and materials.
• Accurately measure and prepare moulding materials to meet production requirements and ensure consistent casting quality.
• Prepare moulding sand and other materials to ensure moulds meet required quality standards.
• Inspect moulds for defects and ensure they are correctly assembled before casting.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area, following all health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.

This role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Foundry Operative, Moulder, Casting Operative or a Foundry Moulder within a heavy manufacturing environment.
