Job summary

FireCheckr in London is hiring its founding engineer to own the platform's architecture, scalability, and reliability for essential safety workflows. You will shape the core tech, balance fast delivery with durable design, and directly influence the engineering direction as the first hire.

You will work with a modern stack (TypeScript, Next.js, React, tRPC, Supabase, Vercel, Capacitor, LLM APIs) and have the opportunity to grow into leadership as the team expands.

Qualifications

• Ideally 3–4+ years of experience, preferably in startups and AI products.
• Familiar with a modern stack (TypeScript, Next.js, React, tRPC, Supabase, Vercel, Capacitor, LLM APIs).

Responsibilities

• Develop our tech stack and own architecture, scalability and reliability of the platform behind critical safety workflows.
• Make architecture decisions that guide the product for years ahead and deliver measurable impact.
• Balance solving current customer pain with building durable, scalable systems.
• Build AI features that save assessors hours on every report.
• Work autonomously and influence engineering culture as the first engineering hire.
