Job summary

Remotestar is building an AI-powered fundraising agent that connects founders with investors. We are seeking a Founding CTO to lead the technical build, shape architecture from day one, and grow the engineering team as the company scales.

You will own the product architecture, design safe and explainable AI systems, and drive governance and data usage while collaborating with the CEO on the technical strategy.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years in AI or data-driven product engineering.
• Experience shipping trustworthy AI products with bias mitigation and privacy.
• Deep cloud/serverless infrastructure experience.
• Ability to move fast from zero to one with limited resources.
• Product-minded engineer who understands user behavior.
• Willing to work close to European hours.

Responsibilities

• Translate real-world network behavior into structured data and AI-driven workflows.
• Own the product architecture from MVP to scale across email, WhatsApp, and web on a serverless cloud foundation.
• Design AI systems with safety, fairness, privacy and transparency; ensure explainable recommendations and bias-free matching.
• Implement governance, model evaluation and responsible data usage as the platform scales.
• Work with the CEO to shape the technical strategy and roadmap.
• Hands-on leadership to build and grow the engineering team as the company scales.
