Job summary

Broaden is seeking a Founding Engineer to help build the architectural foundation, data ingestion pipelines, and agentic workflows from the ground up for an AI infrastructure startup serving biopharma. You will write production-grade code across the stack, design robust data pipelines, and ensure enterprise-grade security and traceability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on software engineering in Python and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with Python (FastAPI), PostgreSQL, TypeScript (Next.js/React), and AWS.
• Hands-on with LLMs, retrieval systems, and AI agents in production.
• Top academic credentials or evidence of exceptional ability from leading institutions.
• Desirable startup/forward-deployed engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale data pipelines to ingest and process global biopharma data.
• Design agentic workflows and AI extraction pipelines with Pydantic AI.
• Develop end-to-end features from PostgreSQL schemas to Next.js/React UIs.
• Collaborate with founders to translate client needs into shipped software.
• Maintain SOC 2-aligned AWS architecture with RBAC and robust tests.
