Job summary

Leeroo, a YC-backed company, is seeking a Founding Engineer to build state-of-the-art AI applications and guide customers from discovery to delivery. You will work closely with customer stakeholders, engineers, and the Core Research team to drive transformation and deliver production value quickly.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master's or PhD in CS/AI/Data Science, have 2+ years of hands-on experience, and possess strong communication skills to translate complex ideas for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a hands-on IC (data scientist, ML/AI engineer, or software engineer).
• Experience building and deploying LLM/NLP applications.
• Familiarity with retrieval workflows.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers through the full lifecycle from discovery to delivery.
• Build GenAI applications by connecting continuous-learning agents.
• Surface reusable patterns from customer work for productization.

Skills

Hands-on experience shipping AI-powered products

Customer-first problem solving

End-to-end experience with LLM/NLP applications

Clear communication of technical ideas

Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++, JS)
