Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in the relevant subject area (or Level 3 with substantial teaching experience)
• Possess up-to-date knowledge of good practice in Foundation Learning
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent, or willing to achieve
• Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Teach on a range of courses within the School of Foundation Studies, focusing on Access to FE programmes
• Prepare students for Edexcel and City and Guilds portfolios and Functional Skills exams
• Direct and work with Learning Support Assistants within the classroom
• Participate in residential trips/activity days within Foundation Studies
