Job summary

Uxbridge College is seeking a full-time Lecturer to plan and deliver across Foundation Studies, focusing on Access to FE programmes and developing learners' independence for employment or further study. You will also be involved in the development of the programmes within the area.

You will need a degree in a relevant subject area (or Level 3 qualification with substantial teaching experience in Foundation) and have experience of teaching within Foundation Learning including Functional Skills,

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject area, or Level 3 qualification with substantial Foundation teaching experience.
• Experience of teaching within Foundation Learning, including Functional Skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of best practice in Foundation Learning.
• Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by FE sector, or willingness to work towards it.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver across Foundation Studies courses, with focus on Access to FE programmes.
• Develop learners' skills for independence and preparation for work or further study.
• Contribute to development of programmes within the Foundation area.

Job description

You will also be involved in the development of the programmes within the area.

You will have a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, or be willing to work towards this, supported by the college.
