Newport County AFC Academy is seeking a part-time U8–U10 Age Group Coach to deliver its coaching syllabus and support the holistic development of players within the Foundation Phase. This role requires delivering age-appropriate learning in a fun, engaging environment to foster a love of the game.

The candidate will work two training sessions per week plus match-day, with emphasis on player welfare, safeguarding, and CPD to meet EFL/Club standards.

Qualifications

• Foundation Phase coaching understanding and delivery.
• Experience working with 5–11 age group players.
• Strong communication with players, parents and staff.
• IT systems familiarity (Football iP, MS Office) and record keeping.

Responsabilités

• Promote Newport County AFC values and create a Safe, inclusive coaching environment.
• Plan, deliver, and reflect on Foundation Phase sessions.
• Use age-appropriate methods to support individual and team development.
• Record attendance and session notes in Academy systems.
• Communicate with parents and update on development progress.
• Contribute to Individual Development Plans every 6–12 weeks.
• Collaborate with coaching, medical, sports science, and analysis teams.
