Job summary

Shrewsbury Town FC is seeking a part-time Foundation Phase Academy Coach to deliver coaching sessions in line with the Academy Coaching Curriculum. You will report to the Academy Manager and Lead Phase Coach, planning and delivering sessions and matchdays to help players learn the Shrewsbury Town Way.

Responsibilities include preparing detailed plans, ensuring player welfare, providing weekly feedback, and supporting analysis using filmed games.

Qualifications

• UEFA B Licence and FA Youth Award (minimum).
• Full, clean driving licence.
• FA Licensed Coaches’ Club membership, FA Safeguarding and FA EFAiF.
• DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed session plans and deliver sessions in line with the Academy Coaching Curriculum.
• Maintain the health, safety and welfare of players at training and matches.
• Give players weekly feedback on their IDPs using the PMA system.
• Complete game plan reports and keep weekly and six-weekly player reviews up to date.
• Support analysis sessions using filmed games.
• Attend academy meetings and player and parent meetings when required.
