Job summary

Port Vale FC is seeking a casual Foundation Development Phase Coach to coach and develop players mainly in the Foundation Phase (U8-U11) across its training venues. You will report to the Head of Coaching and Youth Phase Lead Coach and deliver a high-quality programme aligned with the club's philosophy and performance plan.

Join a dedicated coaching team to develop players aged 8-11, monitor progress, provide opportunities for squad players and trialists, and support scouting at grassroots

Qualifications

UEFA C Licence held or in progress.
Working towards UEFA B Licence.
FA age-appropriate coaching certification is required.
Enhanced DBS check is current.
Experience coaching 8-11-year-olds.
Safeguarding and first aid qualifications are required.
FA Youth Modules or FA Youth Award are desirable.

Responsibilities

Work with Lead Foundation Phase Coach to develop players aged 8-11.
Monitor and assess players, keeping records up to date on the FIP.
Coach and manage an assigned age group, liaising with parents.
Give playing opportunities to all squad players and trialists.
Support scouting and recruitment at grassroots fixtures and events.
Take part in CPD, parent evenings and player reviews.

UEFA C Licence

UEFA B Licence (in progress)

FA coaching certification

DBS check (enhanced)

Experience with 8-11 age group
