Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Foundation Pharmacist to join Pharmacy Services at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. This structured rotational programme will provide exposure to multiple specialties and hands-on experience in medicines management and clinical governance.

You will undertake RCPharm Enhanced Curriculum and Credential pathway, contribute to patient-centred care, and develop your professional practice within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) and GPhC registration.
• Completion of Foundation/Pre-registration Pharmacist Training.
• Commitment to RCPharm Enhanced Curriculum and Credential pathway.
• Knowledge of medicines governance and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care across clinical specialties on a rotational basis.
• Support medicines optimisation, patient counselling, discharge planning and prescribing assistance.
• Undertake medicines reconciliation, ward rounds and clinical screening of prescriptions.
• Contribute to clinical governance, audits and service improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the Foundation Training Programme and supervise trainees and staff.
