Job summary

Cardinal Newman College is seeking an enthusiastic Foundation Learning team member to provide pastoral support for students with diverse needs. You will assist with personal care, toileting, mobility and behaviour management, and help students access college facilities and social opportunities.

The role involves contributing to assessments and supporting flexible learning opportunities across settings, in line with the Catholic ethos and equality commitments.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade A-C (9-4) or equivalent.
• Experience in supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support for students with a wide range of learning difficulties / disabilities.
• Support students with personal care, toileting, mobility, and behaviour management.
• Support students during breaks and lunchtimes to develop social skills and access college facilities.
• Contribute to initial, baseline and continuing assessments of students and their progress.
• Facilitate flexible support and development of learning opportunities across classrooms and external venues.
