Job summary

Cardinal Newman College invites applications for a Foundation Learning Support Tutor to provide pastoral and learning support to students with a range of needs. The role covers assisting with personal care, mobility and behaviour management, and helping students access college facilities.

The successful candidate will have GCSEs in English and Maths and experience supporting learners with disabilities, working well within a team.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade A*-C (9–4) or equivalent.
• Experience supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Support students’ additional needs including personal care, toileting, mobility, and behaviour management.
• Assist during breaks and lunchtimes to develop social skills and access college facilities.
• Facilitate flexible support and development of learning opportunities in classes and external venues.
