Cardinal Newman College Preston in the United Kingdom is seeking a caring Foundation Learning assistant to provide pastoral support for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including personal care and mobility assistance, and to help them access college facilities during breaks.
The successful candidate will hold GCSEs in English and Mathematics (A*-C/9-4) and work as part of a supportive team, with term-time hours and a salary under the Sixth Form Colleges’ pay spine.

The Foundation Learning Department is seeking an individual who holds GCSEs in English and Mathematics at Grade A*–C (9–4) or equivalent. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
You should display the values, attitudes, and behaviours consistent with the Catholic Ethos of the College and have a commitment to equality and diversity and the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.
Hours: 29.6 hours per week, term time only. Starting and finishing times as agreed (8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Thursday)
Salary: The post will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges’ Support Staff Pay Spine at points 7 to 11 - £25,951 to £28,634 per annum (actual salary £18,154 to £20,030 per annum)
