Job summary

Newbury College is seeking a patient and supportive Foundation Learning Support Assistant to help learners with additional needs access education, develop independence and achieve their individual goals, both in and out of the classroom.

You will provide one-to-one and small group support, assist with personal care where required, help implement individual support plans and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths required.
• Experience supporting young people with additional needs preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners.
• Assist with personal care where required and implement support plans.
• Support learners in and out of the classroom and promote an inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records and follow procedures.
