Job summary

Newbury College is seeking a Foundation Learning Support Assistant to help learners access education, develop independence, and achieve their goals. You will work with a supportive team, supporting learners in and out of the classroom, assisting with personal care where required, and implementing individual support plans to progress towards targets.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, patient, and caring approach to supporting learners.
• Excellent communication with learners, families, and colleagues.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Organised, reliable, and able to maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Support learners one-to-one and in small groups.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Help implement individual support plans and EHCP outcomes.
• Support learners in and outside the classroom and adapt to needs.
• Build confidence and progress towards learning targets.
• Collaborate with Team Leader, Tutors and Curriculum Manager.
