Job summary

Newbury College is seeking a Foundation Learning Support Assistant to help learners access education and achieve their targets. You will work with the Team Leader, Tutors and Curriculum Manager providing one-to-one and small group support, both inside and outside the classroom.

We are looking for someone caring, patient and resilient, who can build positive relationships with learners and families. The role supports learners with additional needs to progress and reach EHCP outcomes.

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths.
• Experience supporting young people with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with learners, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support learners one-to-one and in small groups in and out of the classroom.
• Assist with personal care where required and implement individual support plans.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
