Job summary

Cardiff Council is seeking Social Work Assistants to join Cardiff Children’s Fostering Service. You will join an established and supportive team, assist with delivering services, and allocate cases to foster carers to provide support and supervision.

The role requires experience with children and young people, multi-agency collaboration, and skills in assessment and planning; a trauma-informed approach is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children and young people.
• Experience of working with multi-agency professionals.
• Skills in assessment and planning.
• Flexible approach as the service develops.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of services within Cardiff Children’s Fostering Service.
• Responsible for case allocation of a caseload of foster carers to provide support and supervision.
• Attend events to support foster carer recruitment and promotional campaigns.
