Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Limited is recruiting a Locum Social Work Assistant in Cardiff to support Cardiff Children's Services with foster carers and multi-agency collaboration. The role offers a hybrid setup with 2 days remote and 3 days in the office each week, balancing workload and well-being.

You will conduct person-centred assessments, plan interventions, and contribute to high-quality care for children and young people while staying compliant with relevant legislation and trauma-informed

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in fostering services is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation impacting child welfare is desirable.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Support foster carers through case allocation to provide supervision and guidance.
  • Engage in multi-agency collaboration to ensure holistic support for children and young people.
  • Conduct assessments and plan interventions that are person-centred and effective.
  • Lead in risk assessing the needs of individuals and in recording essential information.
  • Regularly review the quality of care provided, proposing improvements where necessary.
  • Undertake training to enhance understanding of relevant legislation and trauma-informed approaches.
