Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fostering Service Manager in Cardiff to oversee the assessment, approval and support of mainstream, connected, and supported lodging carers and providers. You will ensure safeguarding decisions are robust and aligned with statutory requirements, while leading a team of social workers and support staff.

The role is based at County Hall with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Must hold a social work qualification and be registered with Social Care Wales.
• Significant management experience to run a fostering service.
• Ability to travel within the Cardiff area and attend in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fostering service and oversee assessment, approval and support of carers.
• Make robust safeguarding decisions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Supervise principal social workers and panel advisors for fostering panel operations.
• Drive performance management and quality assurance across the service.
