A social care organization is seeking Step Forward Foster Carers in Plymouth to provide dedicated support and a stable home for children in care. Location: Plymouth & surrounding areas. Salary: From £840 per week when a child is placed. Employment Type: Full-time | Self-employed. Sector: Social Care | Youth Justice | Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe, stable home for a child in care, including a dedicated bedroom.
  • Offer emotional support to help children heal, grow and thrive.
  • Work as part of a close-knit, fully supported team within the Step Forward programme.
  • Deliver trauma-informed and therapeutic care (training provided).
  • Collaborate with social work teams and participate in ongoing support arrangements.

Who we’re looking for

  • Ideally with no children under 12 at home (though we’ll assess on a case-by-case basis)
