Job summary

IFS Copperleaf is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit across Sales, Product, R&D, and Implementation. You will stand up our product on a customer’s data, prototype near-production solutions, and turn “we can’t” into “here’s how” for critical deals.

You will own the technical outcome from discovery to production, delivering fast value while coordinating with product and sales to inform roadmaps and reusable components.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing and commercial ability to connect technical work to deal value.
• Ability to generalize solutions into reusable accelerators for future engagements.
• Experience with AI coding/tools and agentic engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with enterprise integrations in regulated utility markets (e.g., ESRI, IBM Maximo, SAP/Oracle ERP).
• Domain experience in asset-intensive industries or capital investment planning.
• Willingness to travel up to ~50% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Own discovery, scoping, architecture, implementation, adoption, and handoff for strategic solutions.
• Deploy and prove value through safe prototypes within deal timelines.
• Engineer for security, reliability, and integration with customer architectures for production use.
• Build, deploy, and evaluate solutions with customer data to measure adoption and value.
• Collaborate with Product and R&D to translate customer patterns into roadmap investments.
• Create reusable accelerators from recurring customer needs.
• Develop precise solution specs and keep them updated as outcomes evolve.
• Work with Product to evaluate business potential and market needs.
