Job summary

PwC UK is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to join a growing engineering community working at the intersection of business needs, emerging technology and disciplined software engineering.

You will build rapid prototypes and AI-enabled solutions, partnering with PwC teams to turn early-stage ideas into working software at pace. This hands-on role emphasizes development experience with code, repos, and SDLC practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience building prototypes, integrations, digital products or automation solutions.
• Practical experience with Git-based development workflows.
• Experience using AI-enabled development tools or coding assistants.
• Understanding of secure development practices and data governance.
• Ability to work at pace in ambiguous environments.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand challenges and identify opportunities for proof-of-concept solutions.
• Design and build rapid prototypes using approved tools and secure practices.
• Integrate APIs, data sources and AI models to deliver functional proof-of-concept solutions.
• Apply robust software engineering standards including code reviews, testing and secure coding.
• Document solution architecture, security and production readiness considerations.
