Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a highly skilled Palantir Foundry engineer to design, build and deploy data pipelines and ontology models for defence and security contexts. You will own end-to-end solutions, integrate live intelligence into workflows, and advise on product improvements while collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Expect 3+ years in software or solutions engineering, strong Linux and container experience, and willingness to travel across Europe, including on-site duties in secure

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics or similar.
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry work: pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories and Workbooks
• Fluency in Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript or JavaScript, Bash, Go
• Three years or more of professional software or forward-deployed / solutions engineering experience
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar platform architecture and data model
• Experience with containers (Docker or Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes or OpenShift)
• Solid Linux, networking and on-premise fundamentals
• Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities
• Candidates must have the right to work in the EU, or be UK-based
• Security clearance required

Responsibilities

• Understand defence and security users' situational-awareness and force-protection needs and scope solutions
• Design, build and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models and operator-facing applications
• Integrate live intelligence into workflows, common operating pictures and command-and-control tooling
• Build and tune custom widgets as needed
• Own solutions end to end, from initial whiteboard sketch to operations centre
• Debug infrastructure, networking and application issues across the stack in restricted, disconnected or on-premise settings
• Advise customer engineers and operators and relay feedback into the product
• Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe approximately 25%–75% of the time
• Work remotely with trips to Mons, Belgium, three days on site every second week

• Ease with technical and non-technical stakeholders and shifting objectives
• Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities
