Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a solutions engineer to understand defence and security users' needs, design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines and related applications across restricted environments.

You will travel to Europe to work with customers and operators, own solutions end-to-end from whiteboard to deployment, and apply a strong software engineering background to complex systems integration.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background—computer science or a related technical field.
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry work with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Workbooks.
• Fluency in Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash, or Go.
• 3+ years of professional software or forward-deployed/solutions engineering experience.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models quickly.
• Experience with containers (Docker or Podman), orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift), Linux, and networking.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders; willingness to travel and work on-site.
• Candidates must have the right to work in the EU, or be UK-based.

Responsibilities

• Understand defence and security users' needs in situational awareness and force protection, then scope solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models, and operator-facing applications.
• Integrate live intelligence into workflows, common operating pictures, and command-and-control tooling.
• Build and tune custom widgets.
• Own solutions end to end, from whiteboard sketch to operational deployment.
• Debug infrastructure, networking, and applications across restricted, disconnected, or on-premise environments.
• Advise customer engineers and operators and relay feedback into the product.
• Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe.
