Job summary

Cavendish Professionals is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for a permanent role in London. You will lead deployments from discovery to go-live, map business workflows for automation, and design agentic AI workflows interfacing with enterprise systems.

The role requires 5+ years in FDE/AI engineering, hands-on experience with LLMs and agent frameworks, and strong software skills (Python, JavaScript, SQL).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Forward Deployed Engineering or related roles.
• Proven experience delivering AI or agentic systems into production.
• Hands-on with LLMs, agent frameworks, MCP, prompt engineering, and evaluation.
• Strong software skills using Python, JavaScript, SQL, and APIs.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems and platforms.
• Ability to translate complex business workflows into AI-driven solutions.
• Experience debugging and optimizing AI agents in live production.
• Strong communication to engage senior stakeholders and explain technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer deployments from discovery through go-live.
• Map business workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Design and build agentic workflows with actions and decision rules.
• Develop and deploy AI agents and integration code connecting to enterprise systems.
• Debug, monitor, and optimize AI agents in production for measurable outcomes.
• Lead customer working sessions, manage scope and relationships for deployments.
• Develop templates, documentation, and runbooks to improve delivery.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to share insights and improve the platform.
• Own technical delivery balancing customer requirements with engineering practicality.
