Job summary

Envision Racing in the United Kingdom is seeking a Junior Number 2 Mechanic to support Formula E operations from their Silverstone workshop. You will work under the Team & Sporting Director and Chief Mechanic, focusing on prep and maintenance of the front end of the car and assisting the Number 1 and 2 mechanics during race prep.

The role requires the ability to meet tight deadlines, adapt to a dynamic, multicultural environment, and travel to tests and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to work to tight deadlines in a team or solo setting.
• Willingness to operate in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
• Self-motivated with a drive to contribute to results.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Proficient computer skills for records and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Team & Sporting Director and Chief Mechanic.
• Prepare and maintain the front end of a Formula E car.
• Assist the Number 1 and Number 2 mechanics during race prep, including sub-assembly and car setup.
• Keep records of car part life numbers and develop sheets/technical drawings.
• Assist with pit equipment builds, service and repairs.
• Must have demonstrable previous relevant experience.
• Attend all tracks tests and race events.
