Job summary

Envision Racing in the United Kingdom is seeking a Junior Number 2 Mechanic to support Formula E operations from their Silverstone workshop. You will work under the Team & Sporting Director and Chief Mechanic, focusing on prep and maintenance of the front end of the car and assisting the Number 1 and 2 mechanics during race prep.

The role requires the ability to meet tight deadlines, adapt to a dynamic, multicultural environment, and travel to tests and events as needed.

Qualifications

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to thrive in this challenging yet highly rewarding role.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Team & Sporting Director and Chief Mechanic
• Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the front end of a Formula E car
• Assist the Number 1 and Number 2 mechanics during Race prep, including sub-assembly and car set up
• Keep a record of car part life numbers as well as working to build sheets & technical drawings
• Assist with pit equipment builds, service and repairs
• Must have demonstrable previous relevant experience
• Attend all tracks tests and race events

• A proven ability to work to tight deadlines in a group or alone and remain calm under pressure
• Willingness to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment
• Self-motivation with a will to contribute to the end goal
• Good English written and oral communication skills
• Good computer skills

This position is based at Silverstone in our purpose-built workshop with free onsite parking, an on-site gym and access to peaceful woodland surroundings. The position requires flexibility and a willingness to travel regularly.
