Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a permanent, full-time Former Tenant Arrears Recovery Administrator in the Housing service. You will manage a caseload to recover former tenant arrears, mainly by telephone, with some letters.

The role requires good numeracy, strong relationship skills, and the ability to have firm but fair conversations about unpaid rent, while following policies. Training is provided on appointment. 37 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Friday.

Qualifikationen

• Numeracy and written skills are essential.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with former tenants and third parties.
• Ability to have difficult conversations with former tenants regarding money.
• Ability to interpret and follow policies and procedures.
• Willingness to learn IT applications and use internal systems.

Aufgaben

• Collect former tenant arrears from your own caseload.
• Deal with newly terminated tenancies and recoveries.
• Communicate with tenants via telephone and letters; include face-to-face where appropriate.
• Maintain relationships with former tenants, colleagues and third parties.
• Attend and benefit from a comprehensive training package on appointment.
