Job summary

Enva in Grantham is seeking a Fork Lift Driver to support recycling and processing of Small Domestic Appliances and fridges. You will operate a counter balance forklift to move materials, ensuring correct routing to recycling streams and maintaining safety standards.

The role involves working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6am-6pm) with emphasis on accuracy, team collaboration, and safe handling of electronic waste. ENVA offers opportunities for growth and a strong focus on sustainability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a recycling or waste management environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to recycling.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving equipment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• A Fork Lift Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Operating a counter balance fork lift to lift and transport materials to designated areas.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials such as televisions, computers, mobile phones, fridges, and other electronic devices to ensure they are directed to the correct recycling streams.
• Monitoring and controlling continuous flow or materials in the factory.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly those relating to fork lift including conducting routine inspections and maintenance of the fork lift. Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets, supporting overall operational efficiency.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised working environment, ensuring work areas are free of hazards.
