Job summary

Enva is seeking a Goods In FLT Operative for nights in Grantham. Based in Grantham, you will operate a counterbalance forklift, move and load materials for recycling, and ensure safe handling of electronic waste and fridges in a busy facility.

Responsibilities include safe loading/unloading, maintaining cleanliness, complying with health and safety rules, and working with the team to hit nightly targets. A background in recycling or waste management helps.

Qualifications

• Experience in recycling or waste management environment.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to recycling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving equipment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift to lift and transport materials to designated areas.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials such as televisions, computers, mobile phones, fridges, and other electronic devices to ensure they are directed to the correct recycling streams.
• Monitoring and controlling continuous flow of materials in the factory.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations, particularly those relating to forklift including conducting routine inspections and maintenance of the forklift. Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets, supporting overall operational efficiency.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organised working environment, ensuring work areas are free of hazards.

Compensation: £13.34 - £14.00 / hour

Description

As a FLT Operative at ENVA, based in Grantham, you will play a key role in the recycling and processing of Small Domestic Appliances and fridges. You will be responsible for operating an FLT to move, lift, load and unload materials including electronic waste and refrigeration units for further recycling or disposal, adhering to safety and environmental regulations. This position contributes to ENVA's sustainability efforts by promoting efficient waste management and recycling practices.

Key Responsibilities
