Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a capable live logistics operative to load and unload pallets and manage live news distribution across NewCo operations. You will keep palletisers stocked, record incoming pallets, and ensure quality control while working as part of a flexible team.

The role requires good numeracy and literacy, willingness to train in other departments, and a forklift licence. You will follow health and safety guidelines and support daily distribution tasks across sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in loading/unloading vehicles and palletising operations.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and complete pre/post run checks.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills for paperwork and stock control.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pre run checks on FLTs and report faults.
• Remove waste and cage stock from night runs.
• Liaise with Supervisor for correct loading of live news and magazines.
• Load and unload live news vehicles.
• Collect paperwork from traffic office as required.
• Load palletisers with pallets for night/day runs.
• Reset palletiser if sensors trip.
• Dispose of waste and replace batteries when needed.
• Report problems to Supervisor and keep areas clean.
