Job summary

Saica Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Despatch Operative to support daily loading, unloading, and pallet handling across Finished Goods lines. You will operate Fork Lift Trucks, ensure accurate stock scanning, and maintain safe, tidy loading areas.

The role requires previous forklift experience, PC literacy, good communication, and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment. You will rotate between marshalling, pallet operative, and loader duties to support the production

Qualifications

Experience as a Forklift Driver or in a similar environment is desirable.
PC literacy with basic Microsoft Office knowledge is advantageous.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to organise and prioritise workload to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Apply legal norms and Group policy in matters relating to Quality, Security and Environment.
Rotate roles: Marshaller, Pallet Operative, Loader to support daily operations.
Carry out pre shift checks on Fork Lift Trucks and complete defect reports.
Record data accurately in Carpal and ensure safe loading sequences for delivery.
Keep loading areas, gangways and exits accessible and safe at all times.
Support team leaders and other departments as required.
