Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver / Telehandler Operator for a 1-week contract on a construction site near Chichester, starting 20 July 2026. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CPCS, NPORS, or CSCS card and have proven telehandler/forklift experience on construction sites with a full UK driving licence and own transport.

Forklift Driver / Telehandler Operator (1‑Week Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver / Telehandler Operator to work on a construction site near Chichester, starting on 20 July 2026. The ideal candidate will hold a valid CPCS, NPORS, or appropriate CSCS card, have proven experience operating a telehandler on construction sites, possess a full UK driving licence with own transport, and be reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious. The role involves safely moving and distributing materials, conducting daily equipment checks, assisting with general site duties, and maintaining a clean and organised working environment in line with health and safety procedures. The employer requires two recent work references and full PPE.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate the telehandler/forklift to move materials around the site.
• Load, unload, and distribute materials as directed.
• Carry out daily machine checks and report any defects.
• Assist site teams with general duties when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Work in accordance with all site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid CPCS, NPORS, or CSCS card (appropriate qualification for the role).
• Proven experience operating a telehandler/forklift on construction sites.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport (due to the site location).
• Ability to provide two recent work references.
• Full PPE.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety‑conscious.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Based within or close to the Chichester area.
