Job summary

Randstad is seeking experienced Telehandler Operators for upcoming construction projects across West and East Sussex. You will operate the telehandler on site, safely handling materials and assisting trades.

The role offers daily hours around 9 hours with a pay rate of £20.00-£21.00 per hour. Valid CPCS/NPORS and right to work in the UK required, plus two recent references.

Qualifications

• CPCS or NPORS card required.
• Full PPE (Hard hat, steel-toe boots, high-vis jacket/vest, gloves) preferred.
• Right to Work in the UK is required.
• Ability to provide 2 recent work references from previous plant operator roles.

Responsibilities

• Material Distribution: Moving and lifting heavy materials around the site to support trades and sub-contractors.
• Loading & Unloading: Safely offloading delivery vehicles, wagons, and suppliers upon arrival.
• Site Logistics: Stacking, storing, and organizing site materials neatly to keep working areas clean and accessible.
• Safety & Inspections: Conducting daily pre-start plant checks on the telehandler and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• General Site Duties: Assisting on foot with site logistics when the machine is not actively required.

About the Role

Randstad is currently seeking experienced and reliable Telehandler Operators (Telescopic Handler Drivers) for upcoming long-term and short-term construction projects located across West and East Sussex.

You will be a key operator on site, responsible for driving the telehandler safely, offloading deliveries, and ensuring materials are distributed efficiently to support trade teams and site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Distribution: Moving and lifting heavy materials around the site to support trades and sub-contractors.
• Loading & Unloading: Safely offloading delivery vehicles, wagons, and suppliers upon arrival.
• Site Logistics: Stacking, storing, and organizing site materials neatly to keep working areas clean and accessible.
• Safety & Inspections: Conducting daily pre-start plant checks on the telehandler and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• General Site Duties: Jumping off the machine to assist on foot with general site logistics when machine operation isn't actively required.

Requirements

• Ability to provide 2 recent work references from previous plant operator roles
