Job summary

The Best Connection in Barking, Essex is seeking Warehouse Operatives for immediate starts to join a busy, fast-paced team. You will operate a counter balance forklift, pick and pack orders, wrap pallets, and help with goods inwards while maintaining high accuracy and safety.

We offer in-house training, on-site parking, and a temp-to-perm path. Applicants must lift up to 20 kg, work night shifts, and comply with safety rules and DBS checks where required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a counter balance forklift.
• Able to lift up to 20kg.
• Comfortable with night shifts.
• Able to handle wine and spirits safely.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders to meet daily deadlines.
• Wrap pallets of stock using pallet-wrapping machines.
• Load and unload vehicles using counter balance forklift.
• Receive goods inwards and check product lines and quantities.
• Follow instructions from Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Work safely at all times adhering to health and safety procedures and company standards.

Monday - Friday | 8AM - 5PM

Salary: £12.71 Per Hour

We are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives on behalf of our client based in Barking. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity to join a busy warehouse team within a well-established business. If you're reliable, hardworking, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Duties

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders to meet daily deadlines.
• Wrap pallets of stock using pallet-wrapping machines.
• Load and unload vehicles using counter balance forklift
• Receive goods inwards and accurately check product lines and quantities.
• Follow instructions from Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Work safely at all times while adhering to health and safety procedures and company standards.

About You

• Be comfortable handling wine and spirits products.
• Be flexible and able to work the required night shift pattern.
• Happy to do Heavy Lifting and comfortable with walking, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout your shift.
• Be able to safely lift and move stock weighing up to 20kg.
• Be a reliable team player
• Be comfortable working at height and not afraid of elevated working areas.
• Have excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Be committed to maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and safe working practices.
• Demonstrate honesty, respect, accountability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic.
