Job summary

JDR Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a large, well-established manufacturing company based in the Baglan area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift operator looking for consistent daytime hours, a Monday-to-Friday working pattern and the opportunity to work within a busy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Previous FLT Counterbalance experience is essential.
• A valid counterbalance forklift qualification - in-house or externally accredited certificates accepted.
• Experience operating larger forklift trucks would be advantageous.
• Previous experience using clamp or bale attachments would be beneficial.
• A good understanding of warehouse safety and manual handling procedures.
• Confidence working independently and managing daily workloads.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Previous experience within manufacturing, warehousing or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Operating counterbalance forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
• Transporting bales, pulp and other raw materials around the warehouse.
• Operating larger 8-tonne forklift trucks with specialist clamp and bale attachments.
• Loading, unloading and positioning materials within designated storage areas.
• Ensuring raw materials are moved safely to support production requirements.
• Carrying out daily forklift safety checks.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Communicating effectively with warehouse and production colleagues.

Pay Rate: £13.08 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 3:00pm

About the Role

JDR Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a large, well-established manufacturing company based in the Baglan area.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced forklift operator looking for consistent daytime hours, a Monday-to-Friday working pattern and the opportunity to work within a busy industrial environment.

You will be working within the Raw Materials Warehouse, supporting the safe and efficient movement of materials used throughout the manufacturing process.

The role involves operating larger industrial forklift trucks, including 8-tonne FLTs fitted with clamp and bale attachments.

You will largely be working independently, although you will also be part of a wider warehouse and production team.

Key Responsibilities
