Job summary

Pertemps are seeking a proactive Warehouse Stores Operative in Tewkesbury to support goods in, goods out and stock management within a busy manufacturing environment. This hands-on temporary role requires a Counterbalance Forklift Licence and a strong focus on accuracy, safety and organisation.

You will work Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00, with an immediate start available for the right candidate after interview.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or stores experience focused on goods in and goods out.
• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments preferred.
• Strong stock management and inventory control experience.
• Experience using warehouse stock control systems.
• Good IT skills and confidence with internal systems.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Reliable, dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Team player with good communication; able to work independently.
• Flexible to support different areas of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Manage goods in and goods out activities.
• Receive, check and book stock into the warehouse.
• Pick, prepare and dispatch orders as required.
• Ensure stock issued accurately and on time.
• Maintain precise stock records using internal systems.
• Carry out regular stock checks and assist with stock takes.
• Code, label and track materials.
• Load and unload deliveries safely.
• Prepare goods for dispatch and collection.
• Maintain organised locations and 5S practices.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Identify stock discrepancies and report issues.
• Support wider warehouse activities as required.

This hands-on temporary position is ideal for someone with strong warehouse and stores experience, excellent stock control skills and a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence. You will play a key role in ensuring materials are received, stored, issued and dispatched accurately while maintaining high standards of organisation, safety and efficiency throughout the warehouse operation.

Role and Responsibilities

About You
