Job summary

Invision Group in Milton Keynes is seeking a reliable Factory Yardman to join the stone manufacturing team. The role focuses on safely handling heavy slabs, storing materials, and preparing for production, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.

You will unload, move, and store materials, assist with deliveries, and ensure accurate stock control while maintaining a tidy, safe yard and using forklifts where required. This hands-on position requires reliability and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience moving and handling heavy materials safely.
• Strong understanding of stock control and inventory management.
• Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence.
• Good awareness of Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, move, and store stone slabs and materials within the yard and factory.
• Load materials for production and customer collections.
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory of stone slabs and consumables.
• Carry out regular stock checks and report any discrepancies.
• Ensure slabs are stored safely and correctly to prevent damage.
• Assist the production team by preparing materials for fabrication.
• Keep the yard and storage areas clean, organised, and safe at all times.
• Operate forklifts and other lifting equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with deliveries and general yard duties as required.

The Role

Factory Yardman - Stone Worktops

My client are looking for a reliable and hardworking Factory Yardman to join their busy stone manufacturing team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our yard, ensuring stone slabs and materials are safely stored, moved, and prepared for production. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent organisational skills and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Desirable

• Experience using overhead cranes or vacuum lifting equipment.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or yard environment.
• Basic computer skills for stock management systems.

Working Hours

Monday - Friday - 7:30 - 5pm
