Job Title:

Yard Operative

Responsible to:

Yard Manager

Main Objectives:

General yard op duties, maintenance, cleaning and recycling materials of a busy Builders Merchant.

Place of Work:

6.30am – 4.30pm. or 7.30-5.30Mon – Fri

6.30am – 3.30 p.m.Every Second Saturday

Job Specification:

• Loading and unloading goods using a forklift
• Picking and packing
• Assisting with deliveries
• Replenishing stock
• Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures
• Assisting in any other Warehouse duties as required

Person Specification:

• Good level of fitness
• Good team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised
• Good communication and customer care skills
• An awareness of health & safety issues
• Previous experience of working in an outdoor environment
