Job summary

Kinaxia are recruiting a Warehouse Operative with FLT to join their team at their site in Colchester. The role involves loading and unloading pallets, goods-in checks, and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

You will hold a valid Forklift EU/UK licence, have warehouse experience, and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Benefits include life assurance, pension, full uniform and PPE, onsite parking and more.

Qualifications

• Experienced Forklift Truck driver.
• Able to load/unload trucks of all types proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Complete consignment paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Undertake daily/weekly safety checks on equipment and work areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the workplace.
• Adhere to Health and Safety regulations to minimise accidents.
• Assist other departments to ensure smooth operation.
• Load and unload pallets from trucks.
• Unload incoming transports and check goods-in against records.
• Review goods-in clipboard and dispatch items to correct locations.
• Allocate pallets in warehouse racking and complete location documents.
• Wrap pallets as required.

About the job:

• Complete all consignment paperwork in an accurate and timely manner to deliver a world class service;
• Undertake daily/weekly safety checks on the manual handling equipment and work areas, complete any relevant paperwork and deliver to your Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager to ensure the business is fully compliant;
• Operate high standards of general housekeeping in order to maintain a clean and tidy workplace at all times;
• Work in a safe manner and in compliance with Health and Safety regulations to reduce the risk of accidents;
• Assist other departments as and when necessary in order to ensure the smooth running of the business.
• Loading and Off-Loading pallets from trucks
• Off-Loading incoming transports of goods to a warehouse
• Review ‘goods-in’ clipboard and check collections
• Compare notes/locations to ensure correct items are selected for dispatch
• Unloading of goods being checked into storage
• Allocation of pallets into warehousing racking
• Accurate completion of relevant location documents
• Pallet wrapping

Your knowledge and experience:

• Valid work permit and Forklift EU/UK Licence
• Experienced Forklift Truck driver
• Be fully able to load/unload trucks of all @types proficiently
• 2 years’ experience working within a warehouse environment
• Ability to work well under pressure to a tight timescale
• Counterbalance FLT licence
• Warehouse health & Safety procedures
• Stock management software
