Job summary

HVAC Recruitment Limited is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator / Labourer for a 6-week temporary assignment in Chippenham. 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an ASAP start. You will safely operate counterbalance/reach forklifts, load/unload goods, and help with warehouse duties in a busy logistics environment.

Applicants must hold a valid forklift licence with at least 1 year of experience, and demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety, reliability and punctuality.

Qualifications

• Valid, accredited forklift licence/certificate (e.g. RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent) required.
• Minimum 1 year of proven commercial forklift operating experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a counterbalance/reach forklift truck in a fast-paced environment.
• Load and unload incoming/outgoing HGV trailers and delivery vehicles.
• Transport pallets and materials to storage areas and high-bay racking.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment safety checks and report defects.
• Pick, wrap and stage products accurately for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, obstruction-free workspace and warehouse floor.
• Assist with general warehouse and manual handling duties when required.

We're looking for a reliable, experienced, and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join a busy logistics and warehouse team based at Chippenham.

As Forklift Operator, you'll support day-to-day goods-in, storage, and dispatch operations, moving stock safely and efficiently across the site.

Key responsibilities of the Forklift Operator role include:

• Safely operating a counterbalance/reach forklift truck in a fast-paced environment


• Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing HGV trailers and delivery vehicles


• Transporting pallets and materials to designated storage areas and high-bay racking


• Conducting mandatory pre-shift and post-shift equipment safety checks, reporting defects immediately


• Picking, wrapping, and staging products accurately for dispatch


• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and obstruction-free workspace and warehouse floor


• Assisting with general warehouse and manual handling duties when required

What we're looking for:

Applicants for this Forklift Operator role must hold a valid, accredited forklift licence/certificate (e.g. RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent) for the relevant truck type, with a minimum of 1 year's proven commercial forklift operating experience. A strong commitment to health and safety, reliability, punctuality, and the physical fitness to carry out manual labouring tasks are all essential.
