Job summary

JDP in Manchester is seeking a Branch/Yard Assistant to join our team. You will help customers, process orders, pick items, and assist with loading and unloading using a forklift, ensuring accurate service on the trade counter as needed.

We value reliable, team‑oriented people with good literacy, numeracy and a basic computer knowledge. A forklift licence is required and ongoing training is provided to cover all aspects of our operation.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills.
• Literacy & Numeracy.
• A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation.
• An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment.
• Warehouse experience.
• A good knowledge of computers.
• Forklift truck licence.

Responsibilities

• Providing customers with product and service information
• Pick customer orders accurately
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required
