Job summary

John Davidson Pipes in Longtown is seeking a Yard/Branch Assistant to join our team. You will provide customers with product and service information, pick orders, assist with loading and unloading using a forklift, and serve at the trade counter when required.

We value hardworking, flexible individuals with good communication, basic numeracy, health and safety awareness, warehousing experience, basic computer knowledge, and a forklift licence.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills.
• Literacy & Numeracy.
• A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation.
• An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment.
• Experience in Warehousing.
• Basic knowledge of computers.
• Forklift truck licence.

Responsibilities

• Providing customers with product and service information
• Pick customer orders accurately
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required
